Demonstrative Pronouns (Pronombres demostrativos)

Demonstrative pronouns are pronouns that point to specific things.
Pronombres demostrativos son los pronombres que apuntan a cosas específicas.

• This (Este/a/o)
• That (Ese/a/o, aquél, aquello/a)
• These (Estos/as)
• Those (Esos/as, aquéllos/as)

Example:

Singular and here 

singular y aquí:

I like this car.

Me gusta este coche.                            

Plural and here
plural y aquí:
I like these cars.

Me gustan estos coches.


Singular and there
singular y allí:
I like that car.                                         

Me gusta ese coche.


Plural and there

plural y allí:
I like those cars.
Me gustan aquellos coches.

The verb "to be" and present progressive

Verb "to be"

• el verbo "to be" en español es el verbo "ser y estar". Su declinacion en el presente de indicativo (simple present) es la siguiente:

Yo soy/estoy                        I am

Tu eres/estás                      You are

El/ella es/está                      He/she/it is

Nosotros somos/estamos      We are

Vosotros sois/estáis              You are

Ellos/ellas son/están              They are

• Normalmente se utilizan las contracciones de estas formas:

I am                                    I'm
You/we/they are           You/we/they're
He/she/it is                    He/she/it's

The present progressive is formed by combining the verb "to be" with the present participle. (The present participle is merely the "-ing" form of a verb.)
El presente progresivo se forma al combinar el verbo "ser o estar" con el participio presente.
I am studying.
I am studying with María.


In English, present progressive can be used to describe what is happening now, or what will happen in the future.
En el Inglés, el presente progresivo puede ser usado para describir que está pasando ahora, o lo que pasará en el futuro. 
I am studying now.
I am studying with María tonight.
